Bente is our crazy Danish hippie rasta rock chick. She joined the team back in 2000 when the bike rental shop became a reality and she has since helped make it a smooth running part of the business. Her official title is Office and P.R. manager, but this being a small company means she’ll take care of anything that’s needed from answering email, designing our flyer, updating the website, repairing bikes and of course renting out bikes and help you pick one of our bike tours. She’ll always try her best to make your Amsterdam experience become a blast, so if you have any issues always ask for Bente and she’ll do her best to solve it.

Meet girl Mike the other Mike on a bike. Having been born 4 m below sea level, wearing clogs helped her not to sink too much deeper into the soggy polder. After spending many years even deeper below sea level as a scuba instructor, this native Dutch girl is now delighted to lead people above water around Amsterdam and explaining the sites using more than just hand signals.
Canadian-born of Dutch parents, Pete has been living in Amsterdam since 1989. He ran a coffeshop out of a squat. Worked as a Ducth-English translator and earned a highschool teaching degree. He left all that to teach scuba diving each winter in order to come back freshly tanned and chipper each spring to guide bike tours in the town where his father grew up and where his roots are now. Speaking fluent Dutch, Pete can truly be considered a local. He uses his bike to go everywhere.
George was found by Egg one day walking down the Kerkstraat. We think he started out as entertainment for a Stag party in Amsterdam, but must have escaped the madness. He was looking abandoned and rather sad and in need of rescue, so Mike’s Bike Tours adopted this cutie and he has been hanging around ever since. This is the most popular and photographed member of our team and he’s always up for a hug and picture.

Born in the jungles of Zanzibar, Geoff spent his formative years being raised by a family of marmosets. After he realized that he was not actually a monkey, he spent the next few years writing political propaganda for various African ‘Democracies’.
Now however, he lives (mostly) in Amsterdam where he splits his time between breeding chipmunks, sacrificing Miley Cyrus CD’s during full moons, perfecting the ultimate martini, and putting tourists on bicycles to see the city.
